Which red chilli varieties does Govindu Brothers export?
We export Teja S17 (75,000–100,000 SHU, ASTA 50–70), Sannam S4/334 (25,000–35,000 SHU, ASTA 40–50), Wrinkle 273 (25,000–30,000 SHU, ASTA 90–110) and the 341 variety (45,000–55,000 SHU, ASTA 70–80), in stem, stemless and wrinkled forms.
What is the difference between Teja S17 and Sannam S4 chillies?
Teja S17 is the hotter variety at 75,000–100,000 SHU and is bought for pungency, typically for oleoresin extraction and hot sauces. Sannam S4/334 is milder at 25,000–35,000 SHU with ASTA colour 40–50 and is the general-purpose grade used for grinding and blending. Buyers wanting colour rather than heat usually choose Wrinkle 273 at ASTA 90–110.
What are your quality specifications for dry red chilli?
Standard limits are moisture 12% maximum, foreign matter 1% maximum, loose seeds 2% maximum and broken or damaged 2% maximum. Aflatoxin is controlled to the importing country norms. Custom specifications are available on request.
What is the minimum order quantity for red chillies?
One container is our standard minimum. A 20-ft container holds approximately 6–7 MT of whole dry red chilli and a 40-ft container approximately 13–14 MT.
How are your red chillies packed?
We pack in jute bags of 5 kg, 10 kg and 25 kg, or PP bags of 5 kg, 10 kg, 25 kg and 50 kg for moisture resistance on long transits. Buyer-branded private-label packing is available.
Which documents do you provide with a red chilli shipment?
Every shipment includes a phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin and third-party lab reports, alongside the commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading. Additional certificates required by the destination can be arranged.
Where do you source your red chillies from?
We source from the Warangal market in Telangana and from the Guntur belt in Andhra Pradesh — the two largest dry red chilli trading centres in India.
